National Association of REALTORS® Mandatory Ethics Training Requirement

National Association of REALTORs® Biennual Ethics Training

REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within two-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.                 

A new two-year cycle began January 1, 2017. The deadline for this cycle is December 31, 2018. Click here for more info.

Training may be completed through local REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.

PLEASE NOTE: This requirement is a separate from Continuing Education (CE)! However, there are a few ways you can complete this requirement AND earn NJ CE credit at the same time! Below are a few examples. The amount of NJ CE credit is noted below as it applies to these specific ethics courses:

NOTE: Only local boards/associations can approve courses for the Biennual Ethics requirement. If you see a course being promoted by a school or outside vendor as qualifying for CE and the Biennual Ethics requirement, you should contact PCBOR® prior to taking this course to ensure the board will give credit for this course towards the Biennual requirement.
