Passaic County Board of REALTORS® Scholarship Fund
Applications are available February of each year. Submissions are due in April of each year. Awards are given by June each year, with honorees to be recognized at the Annual Meeting in September.
Our 2018 Scholarship Award Recipients:
Jillian Cetrulo, related to Craig Jowett of Coldwell Banker, Wayne office
Jillian has been accepted to Villanova University. Jillian graduated in the top ten of her class at Wayne Valley High School, she is part of the National Honor Society. Jillian has a love for theater and participates in school and community shows, the all-state choir and chamber choir. Jillian would like to pursue a career as a Doctor of Dermatology.
Chandler Goode, son of Christina Dobsa of Realty One Group, Legend
Chandler has been accepted to Penn State and is a Pre-Med student. His goal is to become an orthopedic surgeon. Chandler loves to exercise and nutrition and practices martial arts. He would like some day to work with doctors without borders.
Ryan Mitchell, son of Jo-Anne Mitchell of Century 21 Preferred Realty
Ryan has been accepted to West Chester University and is majoring in Music Education. Ryan would like to become a high school music teacher. Ryan is an Eagle Scout and Order of the Arrow Member, and is a counsellor for Boy Scout Camp. Ryan was also a member of the Passaic Valley High School Honor Society as well as the Brass Marching Band captain.
Anita Michalak, daughter of Kathy Michalak of ERA Nalbandian Realty
Anita attends Cornell University and majors in Environmental and Sustainability Science. Anita has a love for nature and is pursuing a field of study in wildlife biology and conservation.
About the Fund
The scholarship was approved by the Board of Directors of the Passaic County Board of REALTORS® in May, 2001.
This Scholarship is funded by a portion of the gross receipts from the Board Store. Additional funding was raised by a one-time donation by each past President and additional money is raised by various Board activities including dues collection and voluntary contributions.
Residents of New Jersey are limited to members in good standing for preceding three years of the Passaic County Board of REALTORS® or their child or grandchild are eligible for scholarship assistance.
The Scholarship Program is to be available to High School Seniors who will be attending an undergraduate four-year institution, students currently enrolled in undergraduate four-year institutions, and students pursuing studies at an accredited technical school or two-year community college.
There will be no limitations as to location of college attended.
All decisions as to whether or not an applicant qualifies will be at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

The New Jersey REALTORS® Educational Foundation (NJAREF) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1969 to foster education, promote knowledge, conduct research and assist in the education of students pursuing a college or university degree.
