Passaic County Board of REALTORS® Names 2017 Realtor of the Year


WAYNE, N.J. (October 3, 2017) —Passaic County Board of REALTORS® is proud to announce Shamiram “Sham” Mazejy as the 2017 Realtor of the Year. Mazejy was recognized for her contributions to the real estate industry, commitment to the Realtor® organization, and involvement in her local communities. 

During her 13 years as a Realtor®, Mazejy has served in many capacities within the Board on committees, and now serves as a Director on the Board of Directors Committee.

Along with being an active member of the Board, Mazejy also plays an important role in the local community. She is always ready to reach out a hand to help. Mazejy truly believes in the organization and its mission. She has spent countless volunteer hours through the years to help drive the Board and her commitment is endless.

Mazejy serves on the St. Peter’s Haven Board of Directors and holds two-day “healthy food drives” three times a year. She has raised over $10,000.00 for this local food bank which feeds over 300 families each month.

She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Passaic County Board of Mental Health, whose mission is to make Passaic County a “stigma-free” county.

Mazejy is a member of the Allwood Women’s Club, which helps to raise money for the Veterans, Scouts, CASA, the Clifton Animal Shelter, the Clifton Library, and the Hamilton House Museum. Additionally, she helps to raise money for scholarships awarded each year to local students.

Prior to her Realtor® career, Mazejy attained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Home Economics Education and a Master of Science degree in Apparel Textiles and Design.

Mazejy was presented the Realtor® of the Year Award at the Fall General Membership Meeting on Sept. 28, 2017. She will also be recognized at the Realtors® Triple Play Convention at the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, December 5th at 2:00 pm at the Convention Center.
